LET'S GO FOR OUR GOALS!

                         LET'S GO FOR OUR GOALS!

Where do you stand with your annual goals for this year? Like the year, are you halfway towards completing most of your goals? Are you 60% or more complete with specific goals? Have you had to restart, refuel and regroup?   Contrary to popular belief, once you develop a proven method to assist you with completing your goals consistently and more quickly, you'll soon see that it can be applied towards goals in any area of your life. Physically, financially, spiritually, personally and professionally. Below are some techniques to help everyone stay on track:

  • Be 'Wise' With The Why' Of Your Goal: Your 'why' is the personal reason why you're reaching for your goals. It fuels the passion behind the force, ensuring you remain steadfast and focused. This is especially helpful should you begin to face challenges or setbacks in your overall vision. Keeping your 'why' in mind, will sustain you for the long haul.
  • Don't Tackle Too Many Goals at Once:  While it's good to have short term and long term goals, ensure you are not attempting to focus on all of your goals at once.  I've seen vision boards that have made me dizzy just looking at them! In reality, we're able to focus our attention on several things for a short duration of time. However, when we attempt to focus all of our energy and effort over a vast array of goals over a long period of time, we soon become the 'Jack of all trades and master of none' and our goals begin to slip away one by one. Rather than tackling many projects at once, give a laser focus on your top two to three goals  with a reasonable and feasible time-frame and work on achieving them wholeheartedly and completely. Once you've had success with your chosen method, you'll more easily be able to determine what works best for you and just as importantly, what may need changing, tweaking or eliminating altogether prior to focusing on your next set of goals.
  • Divide Goals Into Bite-Sized Chews: Yes, we eat an elephant one bite at a time and the same can be said about our goals. Remember not to bite off more than you can easily or comfortably chew. This keeps your goals from being too overwhelming to complete, and allows you some immediate success on your path as you forge ahead to complete goals that have been divided into your 'bite-sized-smaller steps.'   Focusing on what to do now--today, is a lot simpler and less stressful than wondering how the entire mechanism will come together. Keep the words of Martin L. King Jr. in mind: "You don't have to see the entire staircase, in order to take the first step."
  • From Visualization To Manifestation!  Visualization is a wonderful tool to assist you to keep your eye on the prize when going for your goals. But you must remember that like anything, it requires ACTION. Sitting around with beautiful vision boards, setting time aside to journal your thoughts or completing daily affirmations will not yield results. DOING is what DOES that! While these tools are a start and can certainly assist you, they cannot complete what you must ultimately do! Know that Knowledge is in the Knowing, but Wisdom is in the Doing!  So don't get lax in what your next steps should be... GET INTO ACTION MODE TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS!  Ready, Set, Goals!
